Introducing Mi Coloring Librito Volume I: Big Pictures, Little Palabritas

Our new series, Mi Coloring Librito, begins with Volume • Volumen I, a coloring book for children ages 3–6. If you’ve seen our Word Search Librito books, here’s the most important difference: this book is entirely about coloring, with large pictures and bilingual Spanish–English labels—not word-search puzzles.

What makes the pages special?

Each of 96 vocabulary pages has one large, friendly illustration with its word in Spanish and English. Children can focus on one image at a time while parents and teachers name the object aloud in either language. The thick outlines and generous open spaces are designed for young hands with crayons or colored pencils.

The book also includes 8 colorable category pages, bringing the number of pages to color to 104. The complete paperback is listed at 109 printed pages. There’s also a “This book belongs to / Este libro pertenece a” page.

What can children discover?

Animals from farms, homes and the wild; aquatic animals and little creatures; plants and landscapes; fruits and vegetables; clothes and household objects; transportation; school supplies; toys; music; and play. Familiar subjects make it easy to connect a picture to an everyday word.

Easy ways to enjoy it together

Ask your child to name an object in Spanish or English, choose a color, then describe what they’ve colored. For dual-language settings, invite children to repeat the word in the other language. For quiet afternoons, simply enjoy the art—there is no required lesson or worksheet to complete.

With 8.5 × 11-inch pages and an emphasis on uncluttered art, Mi Coloring Librito is intended for home, pre-K and kindergarten, and screen-free creative time.
